BENEFITS
- AIM Just Carrots™ has one of the highest sources of natural beta
carotene - up to 360 * percent of the RDA. Drinking one glass of Just
Carrots provides you with 18,000 to 20,000 * International Units of
beta carotene. (See the "Beta Carotene" section).
- The carrots used in AIM Just Carrots™ are residue - free, ensuring
that you will not be getting harmful toxins.
- When you eat raw carrots, only 1% of the beta carotene is absorbed
by the body. Cooking breaks down the fibrous walls of carrots, and
increases the absorption to 19%. The beta carotene in AIM Just Carrots™
is absorbed virtually 100%.
- In addition to beta carotene, AIM Just Carrots™ contains vitamin
C, calcium, potassium, and has a high alkaline pH.
- Receive the benefits of juicing, without the time and mess of
juicing.
BETA CAROTENE
Beta carotene is one of about 500 similar compounds called carotenoids,
which are present in many fruits and vegetables. Beta carotene has
traditionally been known as the compound our body uses to create vitamin
A. Laboratory studies have demonstrated that vitamin A has a role in
enhancing the immune system's response and protecting DNA from
carcinogens.
More recently, beta
carotene has been recognized as being eneficial in itself. A variety of
studies has demonstrated beta carotene's antioxidant properties. Beta
carotene fights free radicals and helps prevent them from causing membrane
damage, DNA mutation, and lipid (fat) oxidation, and the harm this
destruction can lead to.
Beta carotene continues to be studied. The Women's Health Study
involves 40,000 female health professionals and is testing the health
benefits of zzbeta carotene an vitamin E.
The 1995 Dietary Guidelines for Americans, released by the U.S.
government, states that, "The antioxidant nutrients found in plant
foods (vitamin C, carotene, vitamin E, and the mineral selenium) are
presently of great interest to scientists and the public because of their
potentially beneficial role in reducing the risk of cancer and certain
other chronic diseases."
DIRECTIONS
- For crystals, add one serving packet or one tablespoon of AIM Just
Carrots™ crystals to 4 - 6 ounces of water or juice. One serving
twice daily is recommended. For the best flavor, mix the carrot
crystals with room-temperature water, and then add ice. Children can
take one serving daily.
- For caplets, take 10- 12 caplets daily.
- You may use more or less depending on your or a health
practitioner's assessment of your nutritional needs.
- AIM Just Carrots™ is most effective when taken on an empty
stomach.

QUESTIONS
Can I take too much beta carotene?
Beta carotene is nontoxic and does not appear to affect health apart
from strengthening the immune system. This is unlike synthetic vitamin A
supplements, which can be toxic in large doses. People who take
exceptionally large quantities of beta carotene may experience a change in
skin tone known as carotenemia. This condition gives the skin a golden
tone and is not harmful.
Are the carrots in AIM Just Carrots™ organically grown?
Because of varying regulations and environmental conditions, it is
difficult to define "organic". Wind can blow chemicals from far
away and acid rain can affect the soil of a field. Some states stipulate
that no chemical products have been used for two years on the field,
andother states say three years, to qualify as organic. You can be sure
that the carrots for AIM Just Carrots™ are tested for pesticides and
herbicides to ensure that AIM Just Carrots™ is residue - free.
What Can you tell me about the freeze - drying process?
Typically, before a food is freeze- dried, it is blanched (heated to
over 210 degrees Fahrenheit) to destroy the enzymes that cause spoilage.
With this process, other beneficial heat - sensitive enzymes are
destroyed. Just Carrots uses a trade secret process that does not use high
heat to stabilize enzymes resulting in Just Carrots containing as many
nutrients as possible.
AIM Just Carrots™ does not taste exactly like carrot juice,
Why?
This is because the process does alter the taste. As stated above, we
use this process to ensure that the carrots' nutrients remain. We feel
that it is better to have a slightly different (but good) taste than the
same taste as carrot juice and less nutrients. As well, the AIM Just
Carrots™ packets were designed to provide a milder taste for newcomers
to carrot juice.
