BarleyLife
versus BarleyMax
BarleyLife
or Barleymax. Which One is Better?
Recently, 2 green barley juice powdered
concentrates have entered the marketplace and each are showing remarkable
improvements in nutritional contents over previously marketed barley powders. As
health ministers having used and recommended green barley powders over the past
6 years, we felt obligated to those who have looked to us for nutritional
advise, to investigate these 2 new "kids on the block" and determine
which is better not only to personally use but to also recommend. We believe if
any individual is going to take a supplement to aid in the betterment of their
health, that product should in fact aid in the restoration of the overall health
and in no way undermine it. According to our research and investigation, this
information is accurate to the best of our knowledge.
Based on an understanding of how and
where BarleyLife is grown, harvested and processed along with the nutritional test data,
many hours of research, and personal experience, we have found BarleyLife to be
a superior product.
After reading through the information below, we think you'll understand why.
(We suggest reading AIM's Position
Paper (Requires
Adobe
Acrobat) to gain greater insight about the creation of BarleyLife.
This document was written by the AIM Companies and may answer a number of
specific questions you may have about this product.)
Some of the criteria used to determine this is
freshness, growing conditions, nutritional comparisons, and cost.
We have found BarleyLife is the freshest and highest
quality barley juice product available.
Although there are some nutrients that when using identical
testing, compared somewhat higher for the Barleymax, a number of significant nutrients
measured higher in
BarleyLife than in Barleymax.
The
freshness issue is a major issue, one that should be insisted on, one
that is fundamental to bring restoration to to an individual's health.
Peroxidase, SOD (super oxide dismutase), and chlorophyll are all markers of freshness,
In all catagories, BarleyLife showed superiority.
BarleyLife or Barleymax. Which One Costs Less?
In a down economy, everyone is concerned about making the most for every
dollar. As the table below indicates, BarleyLife is definitely more cost
effective, ounce-per-ounce. First of all, the price of a jar of BarleyLifes
is less expensive with the 8.81oz
BarleyLife being available for $31.50 and the smaller 8.5oz
BarleyMax being $34.95. BarleyLife is also available for purchase with additional
10% discount for
orders of $165 or more and shipping is only $3 for orders of $50 or more. (Click

Can I use less powder?
A statement has been made that it takes only a rounded teaspoon of BarleyMax but a tablespoon of
BarleyLife. However the data
does not support that. This would mean that most of the nutrient levels in
BarleyMax would have to be 3 times greater than those in BarleyLife! As
can be seen from the nutritional information below, that is simply not the case.
Furthermore the 1 rounded teaspoon twice a day recommendation is a maintenance recommendation. A tablespoon 2-3 times per day is highly
recommended for those
seriously wanting to strengthen their bodies via
nutrition. (Just like 8 glasses of carrot juice are suggested when an individual
is in a health crisis vs. 2 glasses when on maintenance.) We strongly believe
that teaspoon-per-teaspoon or tablespoon-per-tablespoon, people will experience
better results with the BarleyLife due to its superior freshness.
Even if the results
were similar, the
BarleyLife is still less expensive and is not grown in an area that
has experienced repeated nuclear/radioactive fallout. Our personal preference is to use a tablespoon of
the BarleyLife twice a day and enjoy the increased benefits of this
nutritionally beneficial barley juice.
Growing Conditions: The
growing condition in the locations of each product became a major issue along
our fact finding mission. The more we investigated this issue, the more concerns
were raised, leading to even more research. The barley in
BarleyLife is grown using organic methods and processed in the pristine areas of New Zealand and Red Deer, Alberta Canada.
The barley in BarleyMax is grown in Cedar City, Utah: a state considered
by many to be filled with toxic poisons. See
http://deseretnews.com/dn/view/0,1249,250010322,00.html
The state of Utah ranks second among all 50 states in
terms of the amount of toxic substances released into the air and onto the
ground according to http://deseretnews.com/dn/view/0,1249,405007296,00.html
Utah's
Top 10 Toxic Polluters (Requires
Adobe
Acrobat)
Another thought to consider is not only the past toxic
waste and radioactive fallout that lays in Utah but the potential waste that
lays ahead in the future. According to a news article at http://deseretnews.com/dn/view/0,1249,380015514,00.html
, tens of thousands of heavy trucks laden with the deadliest waste known to
man, nuclear waste, will creep one by one down I-15 at 35 mph through the
heart of the Salt Lake Valley on their way to Yucca Mountain in southern
Nevada, as President Bush signed a bill Tuesday, July 23, 2002 (See: http://deseretnews.com/dn/view/0,1249,405019613,00.html
) making Yucca
Mountain the nation's central repository for nuclear waste.
That means those trucks loaded with the nation's nuclear waste will
pass right by Cedar City, Utah where BarleyMax is grown. Six trucks a day,
each with police escorts, every day for 38 years. Some 80,000 truck shipments
and 16,000 rail shipments. Environmental groups have labeled these waste
shipments as "mobile Chernobyl". Even the Department of Energy
predicts there will be about 100 accidents over the life of the project. The
state of Nevada predicts about 400 accidents over the same period. One scenario
that is seen as a strong possibility is that these shipments could be likely targets
for terrorists.
Cesium will be the primary radioactive element
released in a nuclear waste accident. It is a highly reactive metal and even a
small break in the seal will release significant amounts of it. Cesium burns
spontaneously in air and will explode when exposed to water. In a severe
transportation incident, isotopes of Cesium would create a plume of
radioactive particulates that would settle on land and people downwind from
the accident site. Cesium-137 in particular has a half life of approximately
30 years. That means it takes 30 years for half of the radioactivity emitted
from it to dissipate.
Still another thought to consider is the fact that the
Dugway Proving Grounds, just 150 miles due north of Cedar City, is working on a proposal to substantially increase
its role in testing chemical and biological weapons defenses and
counter-terrorism training. According to this article, http://deseretnews.com/dn/view/0,1249,405026841,00.html ,
the people of Utah should be concerned because of Dugway's "past track
record". Another article, http://deseretnews.com/dn/view/0,1249,405007052,00.html
gives a little more indication of what sort of track record that might
be.
Envirocare
of Utah, not even
ranked among the top ten of Utah's top polluters, is seeking permission
from the State of Utah to accept
higher levels of radioactive waste at its
landfill near the Dugway Proving Grounds. According to the Nuclear Regulatory
Commission, these hotter wastes are capable of causing a lethal radiation dose
based on an unshielded exposure for 20 minutes at a distance of three
feet.
Envirocare currently accepts 97% of the
radioactive waste disposed of at commercial facilities in the United States.
Over 80% of the new waste Envirocare seeks will be nuclear waste from dismantled
nuclear reactors. Envirocare is seeking a license to store wastes
from decommissioned nuclear reactors (other than spent nuclear fuel rods).
This waste falls under the category of "low-level"
radioactive waste, which can include everything from irradiated clothing
and rags to the control rods from the core of a reactor which regulate and
stop nuclear reactions. "Low level"
wastes are
not radioactive for as long as "high level" waste, but can contain
elements that remain radioactive for millions of years. Not a single
radionuclide found in high level waste, no matter how toxic or long-lived, is
barred from "low-level" wastes. When plutonium or cesium is inside
reactor fuel, it is high level waste; when it leaks out into the reactor
coolant, as occurs regularly at reactors, and is concentrated in filters and
resins, those wastes are called "low-level", even though they
contain the same radionuclides with the same toxicity and half-life.
Envirocare would be allowed to accept this type of waste. Of the seven commercial radioactive waste landfills in this country, six have leaked,
and four are now shutdown.

Despite its name, Envirocare is a chronic
violator of state environmental regulations. Besides their involvement in
a number of various bribes and fines, in the year 2000, Envirocare was fined
$44,000 for everything from improperly disposing of radioactive and hazardous
wastes to groundwater monitoring violations. Which leads to a very
important point...these radioactive and hazardous wastes can leak into the
groundwater table which have a vast network of underground canals that
interconnect with one another. The literature on
BarleyMax claims "the water used to irrigate the crops is pumped from deep
within the earth bringing with it large amount of minerals". With an eleven inch rainfall average per
year for this area, irrigation is critical to grow barley. A real concern
is what else is it bringing with it?
But what about organic certification? Shouldn't
that rule out radiation? The organic certification qualifications, http://www.qai-inc.com/program.htm,
states
"The Final Rule; Subpart C, § 205.202 Land requirements. (b) Have had no
prohibited substances, as listed in § 205.105, applied to it for a period of
3 years immediately preceding harvest of the crop;" Prohibited substances
include radioactive ions. So it appears that provided you apply the
radioactive contamination to the land 3 years before harvest you can be
certified organic. There is a residue testing requirement but we didn't see
where that includes radiation.
Since BarleyLife is
a new product it will take 2-3 years to get the official certification. Until
this happens AIM cannot state that the product is organically grown. According
to previous testing though, there has been no detection of any pesticide or herbicide
residues in any BarleyLife samples. All nutritional testing by AIM International
on BarleyLife is
done by an independent, third party laboratory and all testing methods meet all
FDA Standards. Even the water that is used to irrigate the crops when
necessary is tested for any contaminants.
BarleyMax
is certified organic which is great, however this has nothing to do with the
presence of radioactive contamination from the numerous nuclear tests that
occurred 150 miles away 40 years ago. There were approximately 1000 tests
done from 1951 to 1963 with nearly 100 above ground explosions. Nearly
one-third of these were more powerful than the bomb dropped on Hiroshima...according
to a Deseret News article http://deseretnews.com/dn/view/0,1249,250011123,00.html.
To give some indication of the intensity of
radiation during these atomic blasts, a number of the soldiers testified that with their
eyes closed,
they could see every bone in their arm or hands". http://www.aracnet.com/~pdxavets/barrett.htm
and http://www.aracnet.com/~pdxavets/remole.htm.
The soldiers at the test site at were told not to look in the direction of the
blast but to cover their tightly closed eyes with their arms. I'd say that's a pretty intense x-ray. The
sad thing is after reading a number of their testimonies, how many have either
died or are dying from various forms of cancer.
Here's an important map
to view the path of radioactive downwind
contamination in Utah from these atomic bomb detonations clearly showing the path
of radioactive fallout traveling from the Nevada Test Site in a northeasterly
direction, passing over the Cedar City area where BarleyMax is grown and
processed. To download the complete map from the Deseret News service in

The big question is whether radioactive fallout
from the 1950's and 60's is an issue of concern in 2002. This web page, http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/nucene/fisfrag.html ,
has some very pertinent information regarding radioactive fallout.
Cesium-137 and
Strontium-90 Deposition Densities Due to all Nevada Test Site Tests
(Maps taken from a report by the Center for Disease Control and the
National Cancer Institute, August 2001 to the Department of Health and Human
Services)

Cesium-137 and
Strontium-90 are the most dangerous
radioisotopes to the environment in terms of their long-term effects. Their
intermediate half-lives of about 30 years suggests that they are not only highly
radioactive
but that they have a long enough half-life to be around for hundreds of
years. Besides its persistence and high activity, Cesium-137 has the
further insidious property of being mistaken for potassium by living organisms
and taken up as part of the fluid electrolytes. This means that it is passed
on up the food chain and reconcentrated from the environment by that process.
Strontium-90 is probably the most dangerous component of the radioactive fallout
from the explosion of a nuclear weapon. Strontium-90 mimics the properties of calcium and is
taken up by living organisms and made a part of their electrolytes as well as
deposited in bones. As a part of the bones, it is not subsequently excreted like
Cesium-137 would be. It has the potential for causing cancer or damaging the
rapidly reproducing bone marrow cells, seeking out tissues of the
body and there become lodged and remain for the lifetime of the persons
exposed.... Such exposures can lead to leukemia and other cancers. (Bone
cancer incidences in men in the southwest counties of Utah are 33% higher than
the rest of the state as the most recent data from the Utah Cancer Registry,
1995-1999, shows. Strontium 90
could likely be a contributing factor.)
Iodine-131 may give a higher
initial dose, but its short half-life of 8 days ensures that it will soon be
gone. The approximate level of radioactivity from the
radioactive isotope Iodine-131 released into the atmosphere from the Nevada
Test Site (150 million curies) was nearly 4 times greater than the
radioactivity released from nuclear power plant disaster at Chernobyl (40
million). http://www.nuclearclaimstribunal.com/appro.htm. Even
though this particular isotope has a short half-life, it is still responsible
for numerous thyroid cancer incidences. (The most recent data shows the rate
of thyroid cancer in men is still 28.6% higher in the southwest counties of
Utah versus the rest of the state.)
Overall, the rate of cancer is significantly higher is the
southwestern section of Utah versus the rest of the state. This has been the
pattern since the atomic weapons testing began in the 1950's as the radioactive fallout
drifted from the Nevada
Test Site to this part of the state. This information is
extremely important because this area is where the BarleyMax is grown and
processed. The people living in this part of the state have definitely
paid a high price with their health over the past 50 years. See http://deseretnews.com/dn/view/0,1249,250010204,00.html
and http://deseretnews.com/dn/view/0,1249,250011123,00.html
According to the Utah Cancer Registry with the
most recent data for the
years 1995-1999, the southwest counties of Utah still have a higher incidence of
cancer than the rest of the state. The cancer rates during this time period are higher
by the following percentages; men thyroid 28.6% higher; prostate 19% higher,
men bone 33% higher (remember Strontium mimics calcium, is absorbed by bone,
and can lead to bone cancer), men lung 31.8% higher, and men colon cancer 13.4% higher.
Another important point to mention regarding the question
of whether the Cedar City area was contaminated, is that on Sept. 27, 1990, Congress
acknowledged the federal government's responsibility and it passed the Radiation
Exposure Compensation Act (RECA), authorizing payments to dead and dying victims
of the government's deception. See http://www.usdoj.gov/civil/torts/const/reca/about.htm
or http://www.gwu.edu/~nsarchiv/radiation/dir/mstreet/commeet/meet3/brief3.gfr/tab_g/br3g1e.txt
This program is compensating the "downwinder" victims due radiation exposure from the fallout that traveled from the
Nevada Test Site during the 1950's and 1960's. The government is now paying for
disorders caused by the radioactive fallout in Iron County where Cedar City is
located and up to 120 miles north of Cedar City which includes all of two
counties to the north. The "affected area" defined in the Downwinders'
Act actually includes points as far as 443 miles from the Nevada test site. http://www.nuclearclaimstribunal.com/appro.htm
Disorders covered are "leukemia (other than chronic
lymphocytic leukemia), lung cancer, multiple myeloma, lymphomas (other than
Hodgkin's disease), and primary cancer of the thyroid, male or female breast,
esophagus, stomach, pharynx, small intestine, pancreas, bile ducts, gall
bladder, salivary gland, urinary bladder, brain, colon, ovary, or liver (except
if cirrhosis or hepatitis B is indicated). If those living in this area weren't truly exposed,
the Federal Government wouldn't be compensating thousands of people large sums
of money.
New Zealand on the other hand has
extremely tough environmental policies. Their country has a policy called a
"Nuclear Free Zone" established by the New
Zealand Nuclear Free Zone, Disarmament, and Arms Control Act passed in
1987. This "Nuclear Free Zone"
includes all the land, territory, and inland waters within the territorial
limits of New Zealand extending out 12 miles from the shore including all the
airspace above. There are efforts presently to extend
the nuclear free zone to 200 miles off the coast. Under the present policy
any ship that is nuclear powered or any carrying any nuclear
waste or nuclear explosive devise is not allowed to come within this zone.
That means a nuclear powered ship can't even dock in New Zealand. The same
policy applies for aircrafts as well. There are extremely harsh penalties for dumping or even storing radioactive material of any sort within this "Nuclear
Free Zone" of New Zealand. So the standard's set for the growing area's environment
of New Zealand and Utah are quite contrasting.
For the very reasons indicated by the above
issues was BarleyLife born. AIM International saw that with the soil not only
contaminated but depleted in much of the US and with the purity and
environmental standards set in New Zealand along with their incredibly rich
volcanic soil, New Zealand was the perfect place to grow this product. For
those who are concerned about what they put in their bodies, BarleyLife is
truly the product of choice.

Current Testing for Radioactivity: Tests are
currently being conducted regarding radioactive fallout on soil where
BarleyMax is grown as well as the product itself and bone from animals that
have grazed in the area. So far the only test that has been completed is for
the radioactive isotope Cesium-137 in the product itself and for that
particular isotope the results were negative. We'll keep this web page updated
at this location as results continue to come in.
Harvesting: BarleyLife's barley leaves are harvested at the
exact time during the day that antioxidants are at their highest point. This
assures high antioxidant activity for the user. BarleyLife's barley leaves are
harvested at the right height to capture the maximum available nutrient
profile and content. In New Zealand, BarleyLife's barley leaves are then
immediately juiced while still in the field and chilled to 40 degrees F. This
causes the nutrients to go dormant preventing breakdown and oxidation of the
precious nutrients. This is state-of-the-art technology that is only used by
AIM.
At
this time, the only information we've been given about the harvesting for
BarleyMax is that the plants are harvested at the optimum stage of their
growth cycle.
Pristine Land?: Both the makers of
BarleyLife and BarleyMax claim their product is grown in "pristine" land. Below are
pictures from the area each of the product's raw material are grown. Given the
information we uncovered and the fact that Webster's Dictionary defines the
word pristine as "uncorrupted by civilization; being fresh
and clean", The makers of BarleyLife seem to be more accurate with their choice of
words.

Nutritional Comparison: Below you will find a comparison between
BarleyLife, Barleygreen, and BarleyMax, based on "label claims and published
data". Since BarleyLife has only been available since July the numbers
used for the initial label are quite conservative. The BarleyLife label will
soon give a more accurate representation.
Independent laboratory testing of the
BarleyLife is just now being done. These third party
numbers are being added continually to the table below in parenthesis (
)
as they become available.
Of particular interest to us is the Peroxidase,
Chlorophyll and SOD in BarleyLife. Peroxidase is used as a marker of freshness, the lower the number the
lower the "fresh" quality of the product. Chlorophyll and SOD are
used as product quality markers. Because of this we believe that
teaspoon-per-teaspoon BarleyLife is a fresher
higher quality product. (See the footnote at the end of this table for info on
Peroxidase.) Some very dramatic testimonies
are coming in from BarleyLife users, many who had used Barleygreen for a number of years.

** SOD, superoxide dismutase is considered a key
enzyme having been scientifically found to be quite beneficial. It is believed
that SOD works synergistically in the body with other nutrients in the barley
juice making it substantially superior to isolated SOD supplements. The high
amount of SOD found in BarleyLife is exciting as it means to us that other
enzymes are intact in high amounts, that the product is very fresh and gives us
reason to believe that folks will see dynamic results. And in fact they are.
Note: Whole food SOD supplementation has been shown to result in dramatically
increased intercellular SOD.
*** Peroxidase, SOD and Chlorophyll are used as
markers of freshness. Low levels of these indicates an inferior product and
should alert the manufacturer that something is wrong in their processing.
† We've learned that different techniques are
used to test peroxidase for BarlyLife and Barleymax making it difficult to make
a good comparison. The Barleymax 128 number is an estimate based on previous
testing.

Importance of Peroxidase: "Hydrogen
peroxide is generated as a byproduct of aerobic metabolism it is a reactive
oxygen species which causes free radical damage and cathodic aging. By reducing
H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide) to H2O (water) peroxidase helps protect our bodies from
oxidative damage and keeps us feeling younger." From "Comparison of
Juice Extractors: Enzymes", Michael Donanldson, Ph.D., Hallelujah Acres
Foundation
Other Ingredients:
BarleyMax contains barley and alfalfa.
Both contain a broad range of nutrients. Do not eat or drink Alfalfa juice if
you have systemic lupus erythematosus (lupus) or another autoimmune disease
(note: In this statement found at http://www.cooperfitness.com/content/support/pharmaceutical/altmed/Detail.asp?DocID=1076,
the issue could be juice made from alfalfa seeds and not the leaves). Alfalfa
should not be eaten by pregnant women due to its ability to bring on
menstruation (periods). The
culprit seems to be L-canavanine which is
found in high amounts in alfalfa seeds and sprouts. Some experts advise people in
these cases to avoid alfalfa products all together while others caution only
against use of alfalfa seeds and sprouts. Here's some cautions Dr.
Cooper mentions on his website about the use of Alfalfa:
Before Using:
Tell your doctor if you:
- have diabetes
- are taking medicine or are allergic to any medicine (prescription or
over-the-counter (OTC) or dietary supplement)
- are pregnant or plan to become pregnant while using this medicine (2)
- are breastfeeding
- have any other health problems, such as high blood pressure or heart or
blood vessel disease
Drug and Food Interactions:
Do not take Alfalfa without talking to your
doctor first if you are taking:
- Blood thinning medicines (also called anticoagulants, examples: Coumadin(R)
warfarin, aspirin) (2)
Warnings:
- Do not eat or drink Alfalfa juice if you have systemic lupus erythematosus
(lupus) or another autoimmune disease (2,3)
Side Effects:
Stop taking your medicine right away and talk to your
doctor if you have any of the following side effects. Your medicine may be
causing these symptoms which may mean you are allergic to it.
- Breathing problems or tightness in your throat or chest
- Chest pain
- Skin hives, rash, or itchy or swollen skin
BarleyLife contains barley juice, maltodextrin, brown rice and kelp (a
non-kelp version will also be available for those who are allergic
to kelp).
Why Maltodextrin? Maltodextrin plays two very important roles, which are
actually related to one another. First, maltodextrin acts as an
exceptionally efficient carrier for the natural nutrients found in
spray-dried barley juice powder. Second, maltodextrin naturally adheres to
the nutrient molecules in the barley juice powder, providing a natural
coating and protection against the nutrients reacting with one another and greatly reducing the damaging
effects of oxidation.
This protection stabilizes the nutrients
in a totally natural manner and allows BarleyLife to have a two-year or
longer shelf life. Once you mix the powder in a liquid, this protective shield is
lifted. It is important to note that there are a variety of grades of
maltodextrin. Maltodextrin is a complex carbohydrate and is available in a
variety of grades. AIM uses the higher quality, high-grade maltodextrin in
BarleyLife. The lower quality/lower grades are more readily converted into
glucose.
Why Brown Rice?
The quite small amount of brown rice was originally added to stabilize
chlorophyll. Through the clear glass jar, it would continue to
photosynthesize and break down, without it. The B-Complex vitamins and minerals in brown rice are also beneficial.
Why Kelp?
The amount used in BarleyLife is small but there are numerous benefits of
kelp. The book "Prescription for Nutritional Healing" states; "It is
reported to be beneficial to brain tissue, the membranes surrounding the
brain, the sensory nerves and spinal cord, the nails and blood vessels".
It is believed to be beneficial to the thyroid, and useful for
hair loss, obesity and ulcers.
Kelp has been
found to be one of the best natural concentrated sources of iodine. Iodine
is believed useful in ridding the body of Strontium-90 acquired through
any type of radiation exposure, and preventing the storage of radioactive
iodine in the thyroid from medical treatments, occupational exposure,
radiation leaks or nuclear weapons.
Summary:
Both BarleyLife and Barleymax contain sufficient nutrients including vitamins,
minerals, and enzymes to benefit the user. However we see no reason whatsoever
to pay as much as 45% more per gram for the Barleymax. The money saved on a
purchase of 20 jars of BarleyLife would be enough to purchase 7 more jars of
BarleyLife or any other need of a common household. In our opinion, BarleyLife
is a phenomenal product. Our recommendation is to use BarleyLife, save the money
and experience the benefits!
BarleyLife
- Good Reports!
Andrew Foote...
I personally can testify that when I first began to take BarleyLife, I was in a
state of extreme exhaustion. During the month of June, Romsey and I worked day
and night to finish our second children's coloring book on recipes before
leaving on a summer speaking tour with the entire family in Michigan and Ohio.
The day after finishing the recipe coloring book, we drove straight through from
Montana to Detroit, Michigan to begin back to back meetings for the next 7 days.
Then we immediately drove to Dallas, Texas to drop the children off at the
grandparents and catch a flight to Hawaii to attend the International AIM
Convention. The next morning during the first meeting, we were given sample jars
of BarleyLife and after 24 to 48 hours of taking BarleyLife several times a day
my exhaustion was completely gone and I felt 100% restored. After putting myself
through what I had for a solid month and a half, I knew it was going to take
more than just a good night's sleep to be restored. I'm confident it was the
BarleyLife that made the difference.
Mac, The Dog...
Our six-year-old lab-mix dog, Mac, had developed a tumor on his right elbow. The
veterinarian wanted to do surgery to remove it as soon as possible. She was
concerned that because of its size, she would have to remove too much skin,
which would make the healing very difficult. We were leaving for a week long
vacation, so I asked her if we could wait until I got back. As soon as I
returned, I made sure that Mac, 75 pounds, got ½ tsp. of BarleyLife a day. He
preferred to take it with some food. In less than 3 weeks, the tumor, which
prior to the BarleyLife had split open and looked horrible, had shrunk down to
nothing.
Mac is continuing to get his BarleyLife every day. He’s a happy dog. I am a
happy dog owner and have more money in my account by avoiding a large surgery
bill. Sandy Coombs— Crescent City, Florida
Tony Lund I started taking BarleyLife in January 2002 and was somewhat
disappointed. I got sick. My sinuses started draining profusely. But what do I
tell people when they call me after they have started taking Herbal Fiberblend
and they get sick, “You are simply DETOXING”. Of course when it happens to you,
you don’t see it that way until someone points it out to you. I was taking 3
tablespoons of Barleygreen and replaced it with 3 tablespoons of BarleyLife. I
wasn’t expecting BarleyLife to be so potent, but it is. The arthritic pain I had
been experiencing six months prior to taking BarleyLife has completely gone.
That pain was the reason I was taking 3 tablespoons of Barleygreen. My usual
serving was only a tablespoon, but I increased it in September hoping it would
help with the joint pain.
Toni Lund's Step-Dad Late May 2001, Harry, my step-dad, was diagnosed with
prostate cancer. At that time surgery wasn’t an option. He took large doses of
Barleygreen as well as many other things and was holding his own, but he was
weak and didn’t look very good. When Mom got her jar of BarleyLife to test, she
gave it to him instead. You could not believe the difference in this man. He
went from lying around all day, doing only what he had to do with my mother’s
business, to mowing the lawns again. He gets up early and works in the yard
several hours before it gets hot, then runs his errands. He came to the
convention in July and walked everywhere. Before taking BarleyLife, we thought
he would not be able to make that trip.
Jim Kling "To me, AIM BarleyLife™ is the answer to feeling like you want
to feel- healthy and energetic, with no health problems, at my age, 75, when
many people are having major health problems. AIM BarleyLife™ is the answer to
living old gracefully."
Teresa Schumacher "I am excited about the new AIM BarleyLife. Since taking it, I
have more energy, better digestion, and a feeling of well being. I am 77 years
young and AIM BarleyLife will help me live to be 100."
Russ Huntley "We have been taking BarleyLife for three weeks now, and the way it
makes you feel is absolutely amazing!!!! If I didn’t know I was turning 60 this
November, I would guess (based on how I feel) that I was under 20. I honestly
have not had so much “natural” energy in my entire life. Trust me, I would not
make such a statement unless it was absolutely true!!"
Dr. John Shewfelt’s patients: Dr Shewfelt shared the progress a couple of
his patients have made since being on BarleyLife. One is a 54-year-old woman who
had breast cancer 5 years ago. She had chemotherapy and radiation but the cancer
continued to spread. It migrated to her long bones and pelvis. The doctor put
her on morphine 2-1/2 years ago. She came to Dr. Shewfelt a year ago and he put
her on 5 tablespoons of Barleygreen, 1 tablespoon Just Carrots and 2 teaspoons
Redibeets. Continued bone scans showed arresting of some sites. She started
using BarleyLife in place of Barleygreen and in 2-1/2 weeks she had no more
pain. Her new bone scan shows no new sites and her cancer has completely
arrested. Her blood work which had a very high white blood count now is normal.
The other lady is 34 years old with osteo sarcoma, cancer of the bone and knee.
She had her knee removed as well as her femur and some bones in her lower leg.
The doctors replaced it with a mechanical knee and leg made of steel. (Imagine
her getting through airport security.) With chemotherapy and radiation she lost
all of her hair. Her white count was very high. Dr. Shewfelt put her on 4-5
tablespoons Barleygreen, 1 tablespoon Just Carrots and 2 teaspoons Redibeets in
January. Her hair grew back in 4 weeks and was the color it was when she was a
child. She started on BarleyLife July 2002. Her blood work shows her blood count
as normal and her ankles that were 6 inches across are now normal.
Sandy Coombs — Crescent City, Florida shares:
After using BarleyLife for just a few days, my husband, Alex, has a pain-free
shoulder— something that he had dealt with for almost two years. His
chiropractor told him that it was a frozen shoulder. He had
received treatment 6 months ago, but was left with pain and limited mobility.
BarleyLife has to be so loaded with SOD that his body could get his shoulder
back to normal so quickly.
Just before coming to the convention in Hawaii in July 2002, I was having
serious pain and swelling in my liver area. It had gotten to the point where the
area was painful to touch. I couldn’t bend to my right without pain and pressure
in that spot. We got our bottle of BarleyLife on Thursday, the 18th at the
convention. I took too much the very first day– 2 Tbls.-- and started to detox.
I developed a cough, felt like my lungs were filling up with fluid, and was
breaking out in tiny red spots on my body. All of these disappeared within 24
hours after I cut back to just 1 tsp. per day. By the time we returned home on
Monday, all of the pain and swelling in the liver area were gone. My energy is
soaring, I’m waking up early and am totally refreshed.
I just got a call from a new customer who lives in Phoenix. This customer has a
pacemaker, asthma, painful nerve damage in her feet, high blood pressure, and
arthritis in her back. She had taken her serving of BarleyLife in the morning.
She was so excited that she called me the moment that she got home from work.
She had no pain in her feet today. Her back did not hurt all day long. Even with
her pacemaker, she would get out of breath and have a hard time climbing stairs.
She had no difficulty walking or climbing stairs today. She is on the strongest
asthma medication that a person can take. She usually has at least one– often
two asthma attacks every day. She didn’t have a single attack today. She always
had to take a nap as soon as she got home from work. A nap was the farthest
thing from her mind today. She was so excited that she couldn’t keep quiet. She
said that her co-workers have told her that if BarleyLife really helps her body
get what it needs to turn things around, then they want it too.
Harold H. shares; My neighbor, Bob B., is a
Pharmacist with Wal*Mart and has been taking BarleyGreen for about two years.
Bob is also a serious cyclist and rides 10+ miles every day to sustain a heart
rate of 130/min. We upgraded him to BarleyLife two weeks ago and now he cannot
get his heart rate over 120-125/min regardless of how steep the terrain. He has
tried all possible terrain to get his heart rate up to 130/min but has not been
able to since taking BarleyLife. The athletic performance potential with
BarleyLife has to be significant.
Lora Bitting— Muskogee, OK shares: Five years ago I
was told about green barley juice by a woman in her early 70's, Helen Snodgrass,
who had been taking it for ten years. She was retired and was far more active
than I, at age 44. I had the beginnings of Chronic Fatigue at the time and green
barley juice made all the difference in the world to me.
My parents are both 82 and my father has been taking green barley juice for the
last four years and works like he did in his 50"s. I couldn’t get my mother to
take it until two years ago after one of her medical doctors started taking it
and got so excited about it himself.
My mother’s story is pretty impressive. She has had severe heart arrhythmia for
over 10 years and Congestive Heart Failure for 6 years. She has bad knees too
and between them and her heart she was restricted to a wheel chair for most of
her getting around. Momma has a standing appointment with her cardiologist every
month. Ten days after she started taking green barley juice her cardiologist
said, “Doris, this is the best heart rhythm I’ve ever heard!”
I could hardly believe that anything could make a change that fast but I got out
the Green Leaves of Barley book to see what I could find that would make sense
of this. I found that one of the naturally occurring ingredients in green barley
juice is SOD, a nutrient that is directly related to heart rhythm! BarleyLife is
now even higher in SOD. Thirty days later her doctor said, “Doris, you’re
sounding real good!”
And thirty days later (two months and ten days after she started taking green
barley juice) the doctor said, “Doris, I don’t hear Congestive Heart Failure!”
Green barley juice is the only change she made in her routine. That was November
1999 and she still does not have Congestive Heart Failure. Consequently, she is
feeling so much better, has so much more stamina.
Pam Kemp - Takes 2 tablespoons of BarleyLife,
1 tablespoon of Just Carrots and 1 teaspoon of Redibeets at 5:30am. She notices
much more energy throughout the day. Using the previous barley powder she would
get hungry by 10:30am. Now she doesn't get hungry until after 1pm. She also use
to take another tablespoon of barley powder around 3:30pm to perk her up. With
BarleyLife she finds that extra tablespoon is not necessary as her energy level
remains high.
Loren Schiele "With just three servings of
AIM BarleyLife™, I could feel the difference. I noticed an increased sense of
well being, energy, and stamina. I just felt great! And I had already been using
a barley juice powder for more than six years."
Jeff. Newby I have been taking AIM Barley
Life, & Herbal Fiberblend daily for 5 weeks. My hands do not shake half as much
as they did. I can eat and write with my right hand for the first time in 5
years. I am a lot stronger, And have a lot more energy.
